Ahh yes, I remember that countdown well...The "slate" was written on with black "grease" pencil for taped segments. Most of Soupy's shows had been recorded after his suspension. I remember them in the tape library on the 2nd floor. When time came for the tapes to be erased and re-used, the shows had been removed and taken home by one of the technician's and had been substituted with a blank tape. I wish the guy would at least send the tapes to be put on DVD for the world to enjoy.

This show was ( and is) so funny! I remember thinking then that it was so ahead of its time! Thank you Soupy and may you rest in peace.

We Wagner College (Staten Island) students were CUTTING class along with the Hofstra crowd to see this insanity..and lovin' it better than English 103:Chaucer and Beowolf!

Puppeteer Frank Nastasi and Soupy were pure magic together! I knew a lot of Hofstra University students who didn't schedule afternoon classes so they could watch the Soupy Sales show. It was a much simpler time then.
