@SlaveOfAllaah3 Originally my first comment on this video was not about the Quran, someone quoted the Quran at me so don't start getting all ulama on me and give me a halaka or something. If someone talks to me about the Quran I have a right to talk about the Quran or what I know about/of it. It's my right as a human being. I thought it was for all of mankind (hence Heaven and Hell and that we were one community but...) Bye/Salaam

@SlaveOfAllaah3 So what you're saying is you don't like it when people start talking about the Quran and it's not the interpretation that you follow? I thought only Allah knows the proper understanding? I'm not going to talk about 'clothes' or 'modesty' in this videos comment section I've already dealt with it. It isn't to your liking oh well.

@SlaveOfAllaah3 True

@SlaveOfAllaah3 Not according to the meaning in Arabic which simply means 'veil'. It comes from the Arabic root 'kh m r' (khamara) which means to cover. From this root you get another word 'khamr' (wine) which 'covers the brain'...
This alleged meaning is further refuted by the fact that Arab women at the time of the prophet did NOT cover their heads or only partially so 'khimar' did not necessarily mean 'head covering'.

@LittleQueenTudor; Even typing khimar into the search box you'll get an idea what a khimar is, it covers even more than the known "hijaab" of today.

@LittleQueenTudor; I never said anything about the woman in her video, nobody can force her to wear hijaab she has to take that obligation on herself.
Various opinions from who exactly? I dont care what every tom,dick or harry has to say.. because everyone could go around saying well I think it means this but they wont understand until they know the arabic language. And there are many meanings within arabic. The khimar is the covering of the head, its not disputable.

@yusufalef92; She is dressed in terms of what the west would call modest. Even a short skirt is regarded as modest. But if you go look, it says jalabeeb (honestly I dont care what the woman is wearing its up to her) but I care when people start talking about the Qur'aan like they have a proper understanding of it. In the English translation it says; cloak. Which is drawn around. And thats exactly what you see muslim women wearing today with their arms covered.

@SlaveOfAllaah3 And many would disagree with you but allah did not say use Khimair to cover the head. He said cover the bosom.
