A wet ride down Sullivan Canyon Bike Trail by Matt and Paul. The trail had been a challenging mix of washouts and fallen trees. Recently it was "restored" as a gas line access road. Poured concrete quilts were installed to prevent washouts... but rain water has no match. It is becoming fun again! And watch out: the rattle snakes and poison oak still thrive.

  • It's the most stable mounting for camera on a mountain bike.

  • Sullivan Canyon USED to be more "singletrack-ish". When we had the El Nino storms in 97(?) it washed out and was a rutted mess with HUGE drops and swoopy sections. Then the DWP went up it with a bulldozer and flattend it back out.

Westridge/Sullivan Canyon was a sweet ride after dark.

  • This used to be my nightly after work ride for almost two years. Jump off the 405 at sunset- park at the Westridge trailhead-(before there was a parking lot there)- climb Westridge to the Nike radar base, take dirt mulholland to Sullivan canyon and bomb it back down to the street-then the long ass climb on the street back up to the truck.

  • nice video, check out my channel for some recent vids of it

  • Hate the rear view camera
