Alternate/refined Sound Design Portfolio

My refined portfolio for sound design and sound engineering schools. Its a little collection of all my better work compiled into 5 mins. I try to showcase my usage of sfx, panning and other digital effects. I also tried my best for quality of recordings. All are solo recordings except for the second sample. All the usual equipment was used. Nord G2, EsX electribe, jp 8000, jd 800, fizmo, yamaha cs 15, akoustik piano, kaoss pad 3, alesis d8 and yamaha AW1600.

It all sounds pretty good but...in that first piece...rhythm feels pretty off at parts. I know you're trying to go for a behind the beat kind of feeling, but the bass just sounds off from the rest of it at parts. I really like that sound at the beginning of Movie Soundtrack though.
