is he "financially" successful?

@MikeTysonEatsKids I'm reading it now based on a recommendation from a friend who has had great success applying what he's learned from Phil.

Reading the book now. It was recommended by a friend who has had great success applying the principles Phil teaches. I'm enjoying the book thus far and can't wait to get into the nuts and bolts of it!

I was thinking about buying this guy's book but I am a bit skeptical. There are so many stock market books out there. I am 21 and I want to start out investing.
Has anybody had any success with this guy's teachings?

I was privileged to attend this seminar live and something not shown on this video is a program they sell that taps into the real market and identifies which companies meet the criteria. It monitors internal stock trading in companies and monitors what the large investors are doing and it simplifies it for you and allows you to know when to buy and when to sell. The big guys can't use it because they are the ones setting the trends. But it allows us smaller investors, watch and follow trends.

So what you're saying is basically, it's not practical to work hard? hmmm.
-
It is completely practical my friend. You just have to get yourself the tools to find those companies. You can sit and do ratios all day on companies and by the time you have it figured out, the market has changed, or you can invest your money into a company that does all the work for you. Phil, and myself, use investools a tdameritrade education company. Don't make excuses, just do it (like Nike!)

The problem is not whether you can find this kind of companies but how many time and effort you put into finding these companies. The opportunities are just there. Some people just spend time to find them while most dont.

idea is good. problem is how are u going to find such companies that meet all these great criteria at his "margin of safety". if you can, then OF COURSE you can make money. nice ideas to keep in mind, but not very practical in real practice
I finished reading his book Rule #1, a short time back. I actually borrowed it from the local library because I figured why waste money if it wasn't any good. Boy was I surprised. I found the book so fascinating that after I finished reading it I ordered a copy of my own.
It's one of the best I've read on Investing in a long time.
