Tamil Protest in Toronto: May 10, 2009

On my way home from Future Shop, a Tamil Protest was on its way down Spadina. I caught them at Queen St heading Southbound, and biked down around to Front St to catch them.

After the apex of the Spadina bridge, they charged down around Bremner and up the Westbound on-ramp to the Gardiners Expressway... A police cruiser tried to block them, but they just ran around the vehicle. I could see the cruisers disappear into a flood of protesters.

The bottom line is that you don't come to a free democratic country, draw breath from our nation, clog up our busy highways because of social problems elsewhere. @laju1989 and at one point they blocked a hospital. My mom had to go down, it wasn't an emergency she had to go down for an appointment but she wasn't feeling 100% and it took longer to walk there from where she got dropped off. I hated them for this.
