@DrixDZanth Realizing this is an old video, I still want to reply. Christians want for a good god, but in the Hindu, there is a god who is the Destroyer. This Destroyer's purpose is to cause hate, devastation, pain, etc. So if Shiva (the destroyer) is in power, then all destruction, confusion, lack of belief, atheism, IS the will of god.

"Certainty is absurd..." really gets to the heart of the matter.
I suspect that is why I see religion as so absurd.
believers seem to be so certain in their beliefs.
I don't anyone can be that certain about anything.
They mistake their "certain" feelings of a specific reality for certainty of that reality.
-
"Doubt is not an agreeable condition, but certainty is an absurd one."

Great second question - but it falls down in the fact that after the answer is given, be it yes or no, you wipe the persons memory so they carry on as before. It's a moral question, but as the child grew up, before they died did they do good/great things? Bill Gates if off to Hell but is a great philanthropist!
As for questioning why God would chose to allow billions to do this the answer could be that it's better to have 1 in 100 or 1000 souls reach heaven than have no one there, 'freewill'?!

And its nice to know I'm not the only atheist that meditates. Oh those silly Christians, they think they have a monopoly on inner peace. ahahahahhah
I've found the same feeling can be achieved by playing guitar, dancing, or even playing the last level on Mario 64.

Allright, just like Emenim, Drix is back!

Good to see you posting again.

Welcome back, sir. Interesting video. Sometimes we accept an answer because it works at the time. (Or it doesn't, which could prove fatal, or to force you to find a new one.) Dissatisfaction seems to come from doubt. Loved the last question. I still remember the rage I supressed at coming to that realization. The words would be similar to, "I'm crap, you made me that way, and you blame me! Couldn't you just skip making me?". Then, I'd shut my mind off to escape the rage. Alter focus.

good to have you back!

Ah ha!!! :))) The man is back...I really enjoy your videos drix.
Everyone has children knowing there is a good chance that the child will suffer some form of rape, persecution or despair... then die a miserable death, maybe suicide.
Is everyone who has children amoral?
also, human free will has yet to be
determined or understood.
Perhaps every action, thought is predestined to happen. Ur free only in theory. At best, ur free to run around a tiny little box in ur head as u watch what happens 2 u.
All forms of certainty is masturbatory consolation.

No. Because parents don't have children thinking that they will suffer from rape, misery, or suicide. Parents have children expecting that they will not suffer.

In addition. Parents who CAN anticipate the possibility that their child will suffer (such as women suffering from Huntington's or women who know they are positive for the BRCA1 Cancer gene) go through great pain and careful consideration before having children.
We can't predict the future. But an omnipotent God should be able to. This is why my argument stands: you are more moral than the God of the Bible.
