Aidan Shank, a 16-year-old junior at Woodrow Wilson High School, invented a launcher to help cheerleaders shoot packets of candy into the stands. Shank has started his own business selling the devices and is in the process of patenting his design. He also won a trip to New York City to showcase the launcher and compete against other young entrepreneurs from around the country for a $10,000 prize. From our August 2011 issue.
