Knoxville Community Development Corporation (KCDC) has used a $22 million HOPE VI grant from HUD and raised another $24 million in additional funds to successfully revitalize the Mechanicsville community in Knoxville, Tennessee. This video outlines the process and highlights the decisions that helped KCDC turn a declining development fraught with drugs, crime and violence into a thriving community filled with pride and hope.
