Action shots from the 1st ever public High school tackle rugby 7s league in the USA, through www.psal.org and www.playrugbyusa.com in New York City.
The finals were played on Randall's Island as part of the Mayors Cup Rugby Festival in front of almost 1000 people.
This was the first time ANY of the students had ever played rugby (they were 9th and 10th grade)

  • im from Fiji nd Rugby is in my blood nd its nice seeing people playn the sport that i love from america Big ups to u guys ..

    great videooo !!

  • fk up SnoopHorse man u dnt knw shit bitch

  • once america picks this sport up, and puts serious money and players in to it, they will dominate this sport. just like every other sport..

  • It's great to see the U.S getting into rugby. I would love to see a game in a country where the sport is developing and watching people learn the skills of the game. As you know its popular down here in Australia, so it would be good to see the kids with the skills that might be able to make it in rugby having a run around. Good luck and hope it really takes off for you guys.

  • Probably not the best idea to have rugby season during football season. I love both sports, and recognize that rugby needs to be picked up as a high school sport in the U.S., but there are LOTS of players who play both rugby and football, and frankly, they would probably choose football. To avoid competition, any further attempts at getting rugby picked up as a high school sport should be during the spring.
