woke up the next morning and drank some warm beers and headed back. still listening to fire of unknown origin on endless loop in the tape deck. i finally asked him, 27 hours into our trip, why he chose blue oyster cult for our trip and he said because of the song death valley days. it was the whole reason for his idea to go. i said bro that's a different album he said yeah, my bad. if i'm lying i'm dying. and bubbleheads don't die we go on eternal patrol so there ya go. peace.

this is a true story. i was in the navy in san diego and my friend said let's drive to death valley. so we got in his car and he pushed a tape into the deck then said oh, shit, well we're stuck. we had to listen to one tape all the way there or nothing at all so the whole way trippin balls to death valley we listened to fire of unknown origin. slept on the ground near the natural bridge. woke up to a crow cawing, it was november so not deathly hot.....
