Ok, I read what I posted and that is an error.

It's not to 'insult it' but to try and harm the Ummah after leaving it is execution. That's treason, as the Ummas is the 'muslim nation'. What is actually said is that someone who leaves the ummah and then 'fights a war against it' is executed. This does not necessarily mean to literally kill muslims, but to commit an act of war against the Ummah.
