Sept 8, 2008 Chris Matthews analy '08 RNC Convention & the campaign forward

The Monday after RNC Convention Chris Matthews Hardball analysis with Michelle Robinson and Krista Freeland. Chris did a couple other talks with people regarding the Convention that were more in depth and statistical, but I think he finds a 'key' not only to the '08 election but the politics there forward we have had since.

They are noting the potential race inudendos that were flying around from day one of the RNC Convention forward, and Chris notices the "old switch a roo" as he calls it. It (the switch a roo) was that 'menu' of counter attacks through election cycle, and still is in my thoughts.

Whether it is over past failures, past party platform loyalties, what politician is born in this country, which media personality is a patriot or not, who's gonna 'kill your grandma', which party is working on the people's behalf, and on and on and on.

Reality has been "switched" since the 2008 RNC Convention, and Chris really looked at it well for a 'first time' (as we all were) this evening.
