Jeff Foster (http://www.lifewithoutacentre.com) talks about Acceptance in the deepest sense. Is it possible to accept present experience, no matter what is happening, no matter what the circumstances? WHO accepts? Is there an impersonal acceptance that goes beyond our ideas of acceptance? A cosmic peace that goes beyond all our ideas of peace? Jeff points you back to who you really are in THIS moment... and to the place where all suffering begins and ends.

  • Doesn't saying that who we are has already allowed or permitted something in imply that who we are can also not allow something in? Who we are neither accepts or rejects anything, correct?

  • @pyrophore Great point. Calling it anything implies an opposite. That's why it's ultimately impossible to put into words. Yes, who we are neither accepts or rejects - that's why I speak of it as the Deepest Acceptance, that goes beyond acceptance and rejection. What you are IS everything that appears. Total intimacy. In the end we must let go of the words........ ;)

  • well, I'll be!... I have been under the distinct impression, lately, that whaterver I strive to achieve in the spiritual seeking, the practices, the studying, is all 'too little and to late'... and I was telling myself that somehow, I have been 'missing the boat' despite my sincere efforts!

Thank You, Jeff for describing the effortless way of Being. You are a blessing!
