  • well, its not uncommon to see under hood temperatures of 300+ degrees, especially inside of a full fielded, or even 60-75% duty cycle alternator, but I have to say, you bring torture testing to a whole new level! How would these stand up to temperatures like this for long periods of time, are you doing any further testing in that field?

  • @thadoggma Thanks for the kind words. Actually this was for a customer that needed to see 160+ amps at idle for 4-6 hours. Needless to say he's ran it in the field and it's never dropped below 14 volts and that was 4 hours. We are also using these for military overseas in afghanistan as well and out of the 5k units we've sold we've never had a single failure.
