Sounds a lot like Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Scuttle Buttin' ". Actually Tommy Emmanuel teaches this exact lick on his DVD. The lick is called 'Stevie's Blues' on that DVD. Probs for teaching it though. :)

The last 2 chords were bm7 and f#dim. Hope that helps guys!

Thankyou so much. Like another commenter on here, this is the 1st time i have managed a decent blues rift. I can play most chords but rifts have been so difficult to learn from books. I like your "step by step and repitition" method. I was going to make a comment about not showing the right hand but it all falls into place just following your instructions. N.B. On the 3rd fret E string i tend to play with 2nd finger from thumb not 3rd. I wonder if this is a problem for later on.

@pilgrimpater Thank you, that won't be a problem. Play it that way if you prefer, there's really no right or wrong way to play this.
