My dear friends... I LIVE IN TURKEY and i would like to give you some information about my country. Many people in Western countries think that Turkey is an Islamic country that you have to obey to rules of Islam. BUT this is not true Turkey is a SECULAR country with muslim majority. You are can drink alcohol, you can wear bikinis in the beaches. You DO NOT HAVE TO wear headscarf or hijab. Turks are NOT ARABS. We don't speak Arabic language hear. We speak Turkish.

@freandwhickquest lebanon more than turkey in Secularism and still they are Arab..60% muslim...but turkey 95% muslim...shame to be a muslim then to live like stupid westner think of his/her five sence..no beyond

@7robig No, the muslim population in Turkey is around %95. And most of them are peaceful and moderate.

Do not care the official statistics which shows that %99 of the population in Turkey are muslims, state accept you as a muslim if you were brought up in a muslim home.

@freandwhickquest well, before you tell your foreign friends about your country, learn some English first. second, i know Turkish people, they don't have personality. they are trying to adapt a western life style that does not fit them! Turkey is a oriental country where part of it is in Europe but still with Islamic majority. Be proud of what you are and don't be a dog tail if you know what i mean!
