Shortcuts were allowed for the tournament, because everyone agreed to do them, so they were not "cheating" in this sense.

All opening round matches were done on 150cc VS, hence the sluggish racing and random spinouts.


Everyone involved is a much better player than they showed in the tournament matches, because VS is much harder than Time Trials.
