The Ford Trimotor (also variously identified as the "Tri-Motor", and nicknamed "The Tin Goose") was an American three engine civil transport aircraft first produced in 1925 by Henry Ford and continued in production until June 7, 1933. Throughout its lifespan a total of 199 aircraft were produced. Although designed for the civil market, the aircraft was also used by the military and was sold all over the world. Unlike his famous Ford Model T cars, trucks and farm tractors, Ford did not make the engines for these aircraft.

Durante esse tempo foram produzidas cerca de 200 aeronaves. Era popular no uso militar, e foi vendido por todo o mundo. Diferentemente de seus carros famosos, caminhões e tratores rurais, não foi o próprio Ford que fez os motores desses aviões.

I was in a tri motor out at san diego once.

kinda noisy inside,

but not too awful bad,

Not near as noisy as a Martin 4-0-4 I was in once.

It dont take too long to get them in the air.

Just cruises along like it was nothing.

I have been flying this plane on X Plane 9, an aircraft simulator. I was inspired by it, and looked around on the web to learn more about it. I soon found this video and I must say you did a great job documenting this plane on video, it was awesome to watch.
