The Christmas Market:
Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, it is the most beautiful Christmas Market
with its 150 artisans and merchants. Gift ideas by the thousands, chalets decorated and
illuminated in the grand tradition of Christmas. Tastings of local specialities in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Christmas village in Caux: NEW !
For its 15th edition, Montreux Noël will feature an additional exceptional site. The
organisers have dreamed up a special treat for this years visitors, a Christmas village
in the mountains, in the village of Caux above Montreux. There will be a live nativity
scene, Santa Clauss animals, games for children and play areas located on an esplanade
at the end of which you can enjoy a glorious panorama of Lake Geneva and the Alps.
A special guest of honour:
In collaboration with the Embassy of Canada in Bern, Canada will be the guest of honour
for 2009. The discovery of typical Canadian crafts, cuisine and culture awaits you in the
numerous chalets on the Place du Marché. Various types of entertainment are planned
for the enjoyment of visitors who love wide open spaces.
Santa Claus House:
A visit to Santa Claus, in his house perched at the top of the Rochers de Naye above
Montreux, is an absolute must. For the sixth consecutive year, his house and his office
will be visited by thousands of children and will doubtless be a meeting place for families
between 26 November and 24 December 2009.
