@shayna0205 I just found out Ray Bryant passed away. "Little Susie" was one of the first records I bought. Geez that was a long time ago. The song still sounds great. We have been fortunate to have his music.

I grew up with cubano chant by ray, my dad used to play it on his tape recorder. He got the tape from his uncle who recorded it from a radio station in the USA in I guess 1957....
I still have this tape and am now collecting Ray's cd's! What great music these guys (Ray and the other musicians of his era) made! Even my kids love it!
thanks Ray RIP!

Geez, does this bring back old memories. In the late fifties in Chicago I was 12 or 13 and at night I'd tuck my little transistor radio under my pillow and listen to Sid McCoy's late night jazz show "The Real McCoy." He used to play this, along with a bunch of other gospel-tinged jazz & blues. Loved this song.
