I remember this from 1974 and decided to do it!
"The Night Chicago Died" is a song by the British group Paper Lace, written by Peter Robin Callander and Mitch Murray. The song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for one week in 1974 and also reached number 3 in the UK charts. It is about a fictional shoot-out in Chicago between gangsters tied to Al Capone and the Chicago Police.

  • This was in my top ten favorite songs that I listened to on my transistor am radio hanging from the handlebars of my Schwinn stingray bicycle.

  • This was playing in Dakota when I went back for my Dad's funeral. July 1974

  • Great visuals on this, Dean. Nice harmonies. You really create amazing videos. Big Al sure was a charmer. Five stars. John
