yeah champ the weed sux...depends on whats happening with the wind...coorong produces some monsters mullys's but...im putting together my mully video at the moment.....i guess it gna be a west for east MULLOWAY COMP.....hahahaha......p.s....

Mostly use 10-12ft rods and Penn 950 spinning reels with 30-50lb mono. Simple paternoster style rig with two or three 5/0 hooks and a large grapple sinker. We take squid, salmon, tommies, pilchard etc for bait. (You can catch salmon and tommies over there fairly easily). Heading over there again soon so stay tuned...

I should try the coorong more. I always run into weed there tho. Heading back towards Yalata in a couple weeks actually. I hope to bring back a reel big mully (50lb+) and some more picture/video action! Cheers.

We went back there 08/09 and didnt hook on the same. Caught some massive salmon tho. Not sure of lengths of those two mullies now but the last one was around 50 pound! The snapper was 76cm off the beach!
