Christian Yoga is an opportunity to connect with Christ on your yoga mat. Brooke Boon is the founder of the international Holy Yoga Ministry a non-profit 501c3. This video blog is a simple opportunity to take a deep breath and draw closer to God for a few minutes as you meditate on the word of God. Christians who practice yoga not only reap the physical and mental benefits of moving their body and quieting their mind, but deepen their faith walk as they focus their spiritual journey on Jesus. We hope these short Biblical meditations will bring you a sense of peace and reliance on the Lord. Today we focus on Isaiah 61:2-3 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

  • What Brook has done is taken something and centered it on Christ. Whats the problem in that? And if you are going to sit in very high judgment of a fellow sister in Christ simply because she has taken something and centered it on Christ, then maybe you ought to base your judgments on what the word says. I am reminded of a verse in Mathew that states "Do not judge lest ye be judged".

  • Blessings fellow sista of God N Christ. Thanks..

  • you read the NIV and you do so called christian yoga??????are you kidding sweet or not study up on hinduism lady you have brought unto yourself a serpent spirit and a spirit of deception you should look into deliverance for yourself and the followers you are misleading this is a rebuke God is exposing this lie.repent and be free in Jesus name I dont care if you screen my comment because its meant for in the Love of Christ pray and ask him to show you truth

  • You sound like a nice person

I'm sorry but there is no such thing as "Christian"Yoga. The concept and the deep roots are truly based on Hinduism. You can not replace the core concept with another religion it does not make sense. If.. changing the concept makes you a better person than I guess it is ok, but it does and will truly remain of Hinduism origin.

    Best of luck

  • thanks, love! His WORD and your presence and voice are healing to me.
