@noobifile i agree, i own a 96 avenger es 2.5 with over 174,600 miles, and it runs strong and shifts fine. The a604 tranny has a limp home mode that only allows it to use the 1st two gears when the tranny control module sees that a sensor has gone bad. A lot of people think that the tranny has given out when this happens and try to rebuild the tranny or replace the TCM when all they need is some tranny fluid or a new sensor, lol.

@DYNO323 the 2.6L v6....mitsu only made the tranys fer the v6 and they only made them auto...im bummmed to because i have a 97 veng 2.5L

@FordsRule351 so how come my caravan has a rebuilt tranny thats lasted well over 180000 km? and my 87 lancer had the tranny drop at 223 000. thats the original being taken care of, not being beat to shit.

i was expecting to here a very loud (boom) type sound
