The Minstrel Boy

Tribute to the Irish struggle and fight for freedom whether fought on domestic soil or foreign, whether for ourselves or on behalf of others, whether it be the battle against the Vikings at Clontarf, or in defiance of Cromwell at Clonmel, from Fredricksburg to the Easter Rising, done to Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros rendition of what is in my opinion the greatest Irish song ever written, The Minstrel Boy by Thomas Moore.


The minstrel boy to the war is gone,

Thou soul of love and bravery!

The Next Generation Series "The Wounded" - where Chief Miles O'Brien sings it on board of USS Phoneix. In my opinion - one of the best and most underrated episodes of the series.

My all-episodes-all-series favourites are "Measure of Man", closely followed by "Inner Light" and "The Wounded" ex equo with "Chain of Command". I also liked "Drumhead", "Booby Trap", "The Most Toys", "Offspring", "Deja Q", "Best of Both Worlds"

In my opinion - third best. After Clom Meaney's & Danny Quinn's
