Thanks so much for posting this. Though I'm Tasmanian and we never got that show here, I understood the sentiment. I considered this one of the top 5 songs of the 00's. Loudon, though recently backgrounded by his kids, is a genius, and the master of combining satire and poignancy. BTW, maybe the best song of the 00's was 'White Winos' by the same One Man Guy.

Fred Rogers was a great man and a great songwriter too. I love the way he played the piano. Heard this song first on XM radio and had to find it. Thanks, Lillis. Thanks, Loudon!!

I ran across a video of Mr Rogers (had kind of forgotten about him) so I clicked Wikipedia too (where I read about this song too). Mr Rogers really lead a life totally dedicated to the betterment of mankind (for 75 years!)
Thank you Mr Wainwright for making this song and honoring a truely good person. I think we all need to be reminded of when we were young and pure.

I watched almost every day when I was a boy. Mr. Rogers was a great man. May we never forget him.
