Here, the gypsies celebrate the Festival of Fools, featuring Esmeralda and the crowning of Quasimodo as the King of Fools much to the chagrin of his master, Frollo.

Alrighty everyone, for those asking about Hunchback of Notre Dame on Broadway, it has been confirmed my Alan Menken himself that it IS COMING! It will premier within the next few years, along with Aladdin in New York! :D

I believe there were two performers in the role of Esmeralda. One for the dancing, and one for the acting. My guess is they just switched each other out in the times that you mentioned.
