Ms. Parker conveniently overlooks the fact that Jesus himself tacitly affirmed the necessity of taxation when he said, "Render unto Ceasar what is his."

This "redistribution of wealth" phrase qualifies as 'red meat' language for the purposes of rallying against anyone who ever thought to impose a tax, which, by the way, is the way of the world. No one likes taxes, just like no one likes to pay their utility bill. The alternative, however, is less desireable.

As for Republicans having fewer minority elected officials - minorities have to run to be voted in. As a whole - they tend to vote Democrat against their own best interests as I've pointed out. Can't elect them if they don't run - true ?
