Dude, that's not the point. Being a fan means enjoying a show for all it's goodness as well as its faults.
My favorite anime ever, is Bubblegum Crisis. They ended that show prematurely, so when they made Bubblegum Crisis 2040 I was psyched. Turned out it was worse than the original series. I definitely enjoy the original more, by a longshot.
I still have 2040 on my shelf next to the original BGC though. Because I am a fan. Because I love BGC period. Just like Loddoss War.

this is the televison one, the one set after the OVA
the tele one is not as good as the ova one
