  • Why everything german is immediately associated with Hitler? There are also many nice things about our country and our history! BTW, motorsports were very popular in germany even before Hitler became dictator

  • That is how the owner of the car documented it. It was not my assumption that it was linked to Hitler.

  • Gorgeous car. :) LOVE GERMANY! :)

Both Mercedes and Auto Union made streamlined cars, both for record attempts and for racing on high speed circuits such as Avus. The TV show may have covered January 28 1938 when Mercedes and Auto Union competed for the land speed record on a public highway near Frankfurt. Carricola set a record for Mercedes, however Rosemeyer in an Auto Union was killed trying to better that mark.

  • @MrFrank8675309 I don't know, I'm a car guy. But I think it's also the japanese ones. Mostly Yamahas and Kawasakis

  • @bere5de what is the most popular motorcycle kind in Germany? btw we use to have a ninja zx 10 r

  • Hitler racing

  • lol, F1 started in 1950

  • @bere5de It was public policy to display the most inovative technology, including cars. The government offered loans and subsudies for companies to develop superfast race cars, Mercedes and Audi/Horch took them and made magnificient cars.

  • Knowledgeable people on this thread, may I ask a question: does anybody know about some other German cars from this same time period: they had enclosed bodies, wide and flat, shaped like wings rather than cigars, made by Auto Union and Mercedes for high speed competition. But I don't think these were land-speed record cars like the Bluebird. I think they ran on racetracks, but singly I think. It was a TV show about them and they were the most beautiful cars I've ever seen. Silver, both silver.

  • @clitomaniac Hitler used it to go down the shops for his tea.

  • Hitler's car ? You STUPID, you MORON !
