Monthly test of my single phase Thunderbolt 1000T on July 20, 2011. Look closely and you can see the red light flashing during the signal cycles.

Yes, it was deafening. This video provides NO justice on how freakin' loud it was in person. Stuff in the shop rattled around and even the ground felt like it was shaking when the horn was pointed towards me. It's amazing at what sound pressure can do..

  • Nice man , I bet you can here that puppy for a couple miles around

  • @BlueRidge179 You have no idea man. lol

  • isnt this illegal how do you get to do all this stuff?

  • @milkmanthatscool It's not illegal, and I have my sources.

  • @soccerdude7330 Exactly!! See the light on that pole. When that light is flashing like he says it is an indication that the siren is being activated by the city. If the city provided him with the signal box for activation then this siren actually sounds with the city system. Since it does activate with the city system it isn't illegal. I noticed to the siren covers an area not really covered by that cities system. Which is also probably why he is granted permission to have it installed.

  • @turbocountry No, the light is there just for looks, lol. I activate the siren myself - either locally or by remote. Right now, the city won't allow me to be connected to their system due to "liability reasons" (that's their excuse for EVERYTHING these days.) However, I do have permission to put it to use during monthly tests and tornado warnings.

  • Piece a history

  • that mustve made your neihbors really mad

  • @milkmanthatscool not if he has the proper permission/permits

  • @xmoqtip He restored it himself. Lots of siren enthusiasts have sirens installed on their property that they use for storm warnings.

  • This is my favorite video of a T-bolt
