  • Joan Jett is great but she was definitely not the first kind of female performer with a bold attitude. That honour should unarguably go to Siouxsie from Siouxsie and the Banshees.

    Rick James was quite underrated if you just think about the artists that he has inspired all the way from Prince to MC Hammer.

    REM is one of the most important American bands, definitely a better band than the overrated U2.
