My family stayed at this resort in 1974, shortly after it first opened. In those days it was called Sheraton Lakeside and provided paddle boats for guests to use on the lake. It was an awesome resort in its early years. Today, the reviews of Best Western Lakeside on TripAdvisor are inconsistent — one person will praise the place to the hilt, while the next will mention serious problems. An interesting fact about this resort is that it is shockingly close to Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.
