  • Gotta love the sick banter between Bret and the chicks...

  • Im a fan of alot of this stuff, but, Bret nor any of this stuff is NOT Heavy Metal. Sorry Time-Life.

  • does the number still work?

  • I remember this infomercial. There are some songs that I have listened to, and others that I have not listened to. I do love Hard Rock and Heavy Metal very much, and I need recommendations of some great classic Hard Rock and Heavy Metal songs.

  • hey qubo fans, did you see jacob two two in 0:01?

    like if ya did...

  • @dp471 " i don't think poison and motley crue should be mentioned in the same category or "list" as sabbath and dio" if its a "heavy metal only" list, you'd be right, but as this is a hard'n heavy list meaning hard rock and heavy metal bands, they can easily be included as songs like kickstart my heart or dr.feelgood will appeal to most hard rock listeners. it'd only look odd if they'd include deep purple and slayer next to each other

  • @dp471 i also have to mention the biggest difference between hard'n heavy bands and thrash bands is the philosophies of the music. classic hard rock/heavy metal bands are usually influenced by 70s hippie philosophy(being antiwar, having tolerance for the others-marginals of society), while thrash bands have an adolescent nihilism, praising of evil and destruction, chauvinism and worshipping of power in their lyrics/image.

  • @dp471 "thrash came from those bands " - actually most the thrash sound more like early 80s hardcore punk bands(discharge etc.) and most thrashers said they were punk fans. if hm has a huge influence on thrash bands, where are the epic melodies, improvisational parts in songs? i can say heavy metal has a huge influence on power metal, but not thrash.some people like bruce dickinson, udo, angus young have said their dislike for thrash in the interviews
