Drawing Delirium with Artpad

Artpad is great. Everyone should make a drawing there.

I made a drawing of Delirium from Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" comic series. Thanks Neil, together with the Dune series (Frank Herbert), I never had to study for English again in order to get good grades (wouldn't it be just hilarious if this description is full of flaws?).
Delirium is my favorite of the Endless. Since the appearance of Delirium changes dramatically all the time, I based my drawing on the way she looks in Brief Lives (most of the time).

Because Artpad, The Sandman and Delirium are cool, the combination of them is totally awesome, but there are hardly any words to describe the awesomeness here since I even used VOLARE from the GYPSY KINGS as background music!!

Check out the timing, by the way. The guitar solo starts playing as soon as I start drawing the music notes. If I wasn't such an honest person, I'd have said I did that on purpose.

I tried to do manga style some time ago, but abandoned that since 99% of the world population does it. I also dislike photorealism. I mean geez.. you can also just take a photo and it's the same result for less work. Instead, I've decided to stick with this style which is a huge rip-off of my brother's, but I'm sure you won't mind, would you?

Do you know of the Lil' Delirium plush doll? Based on Jill Thompson's art? On my channel I did a silly interview where I "interview" the Delirium doll -- and her sister Death makes an appearance, too, lol! ^_^

Haha, yes! I actually saw your video's months ago right after I uploaded this vid, because I was checking what results you get when you searched for "gaiman delirium"! I gave you five stars back then. Thought it was funny and kind of cute. :D

Ha! :D And there are some "action figures" of the Endless; very well-designed. I loved the "Brief Lives" story arc.

A very young Delirium appears in The Sandman "Endless Nights" collection from a couple years ago; he did a short story for each. Keep drawing! ^_^

Ah, the coincidences never seem to end.. I was actually reading Brief Lives while you sent your reply. ;)

It's my favorite Sandman story for fun, but the intensity of the climactic The Kindly Ones made that one my all time favorite. I have read Endless Nights as well, by the way. 8)

(and this is an old drawing.. my drawing skills grew kind of weak in the last few months. Hope it'll come back soon, since I enjoyed it a lot)
