Imagine you're sitting in a café. It's quiet. Suddenly a cell phone rings...and rings...and rings. The guy isn't answering. So you go over to the guy, trying to figure out what the hell his problem is.
Then you realize why he isn't answering.
He's dead.
Dead man's cell phone is the story of Jean, a woman who answers the eponymous phone. It was only a minor event, but suddenly she gets sucked into this man's life, meets his family, and tries to put his affairs in order and make right a lot of his wrongs.
This play, by Sarah Ruhl, is being produced by Pink Banana Theatre in Milwaukee and directed by Alan Piotrowicz. It will be performed at the new Next Act Theatre (255 S. Water St. Milwaukee, WI.) Dates are November 3rd-11th 2011.
