If we want to find a way out of the ecological crisis we need to start with Bateson. From Bateson, Deleuze & Guattari developed much of their 'geophilosophy', eg. the 'diagram' where understanding a problem in one field (eg. glaciation), can provide new insights into another (eg. politics). His use of systems theory also informs my own book 'Psychoanalysis and Ecology at the Edge of Chaos', which also uses Guattari's 'Batesonesque' 'three ecologies' of mind, society, and nature.
