How thick is the Rope? Thinking about buying some but not sure on how thick is thick enough

The battling ropes Pole system training is an asskicker too. The Side Pull Lying on side and the seated over-the shoulder-Pull will make lactic acid in your arms to the point it feels like they will explode. John Brookfield is a legend!

Thanks Zach for posting the video clip. I wanted to add to the question about what the ropes do?
After you work the Battling Ropes for awhile you will find that you will able to go at a higher rate of intensity for a longer duration of time. This will transfer into any sport or workout.

Zach, what size rope do you use for this and the length of it?
thanks,
John

how would you encorporate this into the ole skinny bastards template? Or do you follow a different training scheme?

Besides cardio and muscle endurance, what other benefits does rope training have?
it's ALL output at high velocity, so it develops power endurance, and of course, the velocity of the ropes shaking and pulling out of your hands develops grip strength endurance.
Try this @ the end of your workout, do 3, 1 minute rounds with 3 - 4 different exercises and you'll be busted!
