Awesome! Caracals have to be one of the most gorgeous of the so-called "lesser" cats. Plenty strong too, from what I understand-I've heard that male caracals have killed Thompson's gazelles and impala before.

Yes, caracals are VERY strong. They can even take down multiple birds in a single leap! It's ridiculous people think that they can be pets, eh?

i know it! Pppl come to Tigers for tomorrow & as if we sell babies!! what a buch of crazys. we do not breed & sure do not pramote privite owning!! it's stuff like that why they have sooo many animals. :)

how did she get her name? it's interseting. Tigers for Tomorrow has a baby african lion named Kal-al. he is sooo cute & i also love his name. :)

Crackle got her name when she was a kitten. Before she was at Big Cat Rescue, the USDA inspector came to her house, and said "What a beautiful litter of crackles" He didn't know how to pronounce "caracal" It was so cute that the name stuck! =D
