  • I raise my beer to my european brothers and for everybody who love the Middle Ages ! Cheers from France.

  • There seems to be a lot if trolling going on here. Whether we are Arabian, Russian, English, American, Chinese or any other nationality, we each have roots in some unique and beautiful culture that we, as a species, have a right to be proud of.

  • The music is absolutely enchanting and beautiful, a wonderful, magic combination of beautiful instruments that carry so much beauty and richness, and the pictures are cute <3

  • @AgimA74 Disregarding the Old Testament would render the whole Bible pointless, hence you can't, and have to accept the fact that the Old Testament God was a vengeful and carnivorous deity.

Much like Allah in the Qu'ran.

So narrow minded christians aren't that different from fanatized muslims (just look at the Crusades), only the latter has the tendency to hold the same zeal today. I keep to my former statement: If twisted words find the right ears, creeds can easily be turned into weapons.

  • @Commodore4life Of course there are arabs that are aware that the arab-muslims cannot continue like this. That they've fallen behind almost everyone (save the Kombai cannibals). They have become consumers of modernity while at the same time rejecting humanist values and producing, nothing but oil (excepting Turkey and Iran). The muslim mindset today, is a herd mentality (way more than the McDonalds society), doesn't encourage individuality, literacy and compassion towards the fellow human being.

  • @Commodore4life It depends on which part, the Old Testament (which every christian has to disregard) encourages like the Qu'ran murder and injustice. The New Testament is quite a different story though. As for "creed" I'm writing here about the main message of the religion/mindset. Buddhism doesn't encourage mass murder or injustice (it encourages neutrality and self-conaigsance), nor does the New Testament (loving God). On the other hand, Islam, Judaism, in their core belief, are misanthropic.

  • @AgimA74 Creeds are only guidelines of ancient manuscripts. eg. If the holier-than-thou Americans really held the Bible's words, now THAT would produce some interesting changes. That said, I know quite a few Arabs, who are wise and see the world from an intelligent point of view. It's the radicalism (and prejudice from the other side) that makes a religion's creed a weapon. You said Buddhism is an exception. Just look at Burma, and what Ne Win did in the name of Buddhism.

  • @Reatbuster Dude, I truly believe what you're writing, it wouldn't surprise me at all. Arabs in particular and muslims in general are nowadays among the most ignorant people on this planet. There was a period of around 300 years, where the muslim world was open minded and productive, but that was long ago...

  • @Commodore4life And the concept of the numerals we call arabic, comes from the region we nowadays call India, the persians (not the arabs) introduced it to the muslim world. Al Ghwasim even wrote a book named "On the Calculation with Hindu Numerals". If you're openminded to mind-boggling stuff, I recommend to read the Rigveddas and early collection of Indo-Aryan literature.

  • @Commodore4life Europe got the numerals, AFAIK, from muslims and not arabs. The ones that invaded Spain, were mostly berbers and syrians, not arabs (yes, syrians aren't really arabs). "To do the right thing" has nothing to do with "kindergarten", but to be an honest person, if you see that you made an error, you ought to apologize. I still ask, what do the arabs can be proud of? For inventing an hyper-irrational creed? I conceed that almost all creeds are irrational, save buddhism, but islam...

  • Too bad it is not the original thing, just a interpretation with a modern mind you come up with medieval house LMAO !

  • @AgimA74 With respect to the Indians: The numerals were adopted FROM the Arabs, hence the name. You're right, I might have overreacted (FYI telling someone that apologizing is the "right thing" is a bit comic. What are we, kindergartners?) but asking the question "What can Arabs be proud of?" is the very example writing out of ignorance, something you accuse me of. Read a bit about the middle-eastern civilizations, will you?
