walking along the top of the aqueduct that runs through nanzen-ji right before sunset can be a moving experience. by moving, i don't mean falling off the edge - i mean, it's a great place to pause and take in all the peace and tranquility. it's also a great place to pray that you'll meet a geisha later on in the evening.
