This very rare outtake from the Old Grey Whistle test features Thijs introducing the high vocal he was to use later on Hocus Pocus during the Live at the Rainbow album. Poor Quality but very rare footage.

Thjis Van Leer of Focus is a true musical genius who was blessed with a wild sense of humor and showmanship. IMO the best progressive rock band I had ever seen way back then. He's as accomplished on flute as Ian Anderson, had a vocal range like no other, a brilliant keyboardist and whistler, and yes' he was nuts, but in a very good way. I've heard nothing but nice things about him as a person
