@guitarbabe21 Not all laptops get hot. I'm typing this on an HP 2000-41 0US, which has no heat whatsoever. However, this computer doesn't have the high performance of the dv6tqe. If you use your laptop computer with an external keyboard, heat won't matter. Some users prefer the mobility of a laptop, not as a stationary machine, so an external keyboard isn't a solution for everyone.
