  • Hi Mick, thanks for all these videos, you're a great teacher. One thing I'm not sure to understand about this example is, which finger of your right hand do you use to touch the string and create the harmonic? I see you're picking the string with your thumb but, there must be another contact somewhere. You see what I mean? Thank you.

  • Mickey, really appreciate you taking your time for these awesome lessons. Wish I could play 1/3 as well

  • So... harmonics are overtones?

  • Hi Mickey

your teaching is clear and simple. I'm learning the keyboard but this lesson helps me understand notes better. thank you best wishes Bill

  • Hello Mickey,

    Ones more from the Netherlands.

I heard from a steel player that it's needful for playing overtones to touch the snare with your ringfinger or another finger while you're playing a snare to get a realy overtone. Is that so? I don't get an overtone by playing a snare like you do in this video. Would that be the reason ?

    Thanks,

    Hans

  • Superb Mick, should help out a lot of newbies.

  • Thanks, Mick...another great, informative, well presented lesson!
