If it makes you feel any better, I've gotten out the dictionary when debating Objectivists and they will tell me that the dictionary is wrong. Live & learn!
Don't dare quoting the dictionary regarding "selfish", "altruism" or any related word when talking to an Objectivist. Apparently, they've got their own definition for these words. And they say they aren't a cult! lol

Is it rational for you to be so angry as to revert to name calling, and spewing insults such as "idiots" ,"stupid"? An enlightened, rational man seek to camly debate, and to educate. You cannot claim to understand Objectivism, if you are roused to vulgar emotions, and to act upon an emotion. You cannot debate a subject you do not understand.

the emotion part is bullshit. even those ayn uses as examples of objectivists feel moments of emotion. when some one uses a good philosphy to spread an agenda contrary to what the founder intended. i have no problem tearing into the rampant stupidity of those who insist on spreading collectivist bullshit. who is john galt, i am john galt because i refuse to allow the stupid weak and lazy to ruin the lives of us who work and earn for ourselves and really live life not just go thourgh the motions.
