I dont think anyone in the Marvel series can defeat the legendary peter parker and I like the story of how a poor scrawny nerd becomes one of the most incredible superheroes of all time. (plus his jokes and comebacks are preety good)

Daredevil hands down. Spider-Man has his "Spidey senses", agility, strength, web slinging, etc., but Daredevil has his echolocation (Spidey senses), great agility, a hell of a fighter (has mastered boxing, various martial arts, judo, jiu-jitsu, etc.), and he has a baton that extends in length.
