@getitdigtal good video what laptop are u using for your dslr video for rendering and editing

@MtGuyful 7D has better AF, more FPS and overall slightly better tech, but 5d mk2 has full size sensor and better ISO, if you want a full frame for crisp pics then go with 5d, if you want fast shooter with good image quality and AF then pick 7D.

Lol he talks about how 2x digic processor gives great image quality, bullshit processor doesnt have anything to do with the image quality, its all about the sensor. Sensor is responsible for catching the light, hence the image quality. Processors only process the data thats already in the sensor. This guy tries to glorify 7D, but these are 2 completely different cameras.
7D is for birders/wildlife/sports people who need 8FPS, 5d mk2 is for people who shoot landscape/portraits or newspapers

whats wrong with MANUAL focus....anyway 5dmkii focus its not bad, and the fullframe and IQ is at least 4 timess better than the 7d
-
this video is crappy.
-
If you are a protog and not shooting sprorts, or anything else requiring 8 frames/sec, then there really is only one choice - the 5D2.....
-
get a microfone?

@wolf22 If you're filming, I would have to agree with all the other comments- Go with the Canon EOS 7D.
If you are going to be getting serious about digital still photography I would go with the 5D MK II since it has a full frame CMOS sensor.
which one should I get if i wanted to film shorts now that the 5D has 24p.

@wolf22 I would go with the 7D. The autofocus is much better.

@getitdigital If they are shorts with not too much crazy action going on, what's the real advantage of the 7d's focusing? It's not like the 5d is slow to focus.

@photolinger The 7D is more accurate as well. The 5D still has great focusing capabilities but it uses and older system that is just not up to spec when you take the rest of the Camera's capabilities in to account. We will put up a more in depth photographic comparison soon so you can see.
Happy Shooting!

@wolf22 Deciding between the two all comes down to what you want to accomplish. I shoot films as well, so i went straight to the 7D. So far, I have no regrets. :]

@drock1317 Nor should you. As long as your OK with not having a full frame sensor, the 7D actually outperforms the 5D Mark II in a lot of ways. But you're right, it really depends on what you want to get out of your camera. Happy Shooting!
