Planet Express Ship - Minecraft

Planet Express Ship from Futurama that I designed and made in Minecraft.

Gathered all of the materials by hand, approximately 3,000 blocks were used, which would be approximately 1500 sheep =P (1-3 blocks per sheep so 2 on average)

i really don't get minecraft- what is the appeal? and what's so good about it that you put up with those horrible 80s graphics?- (would genuinely like to know so I can write about it in my BA dissertation) -thanks
