    yes, they are. ntsc or pal. The videos can also be put in 4:3 format. I have this camera sinds may, and it's great. Great quality pictures, and the slow-motion works fine. Just make sure there is enough light. I also have a lot of vids on my account that i took with this camera. just take a look at it. ;)
